The MN DNR LakeFinder application lets you search for Minnesota lake information including lake surveys, lake notes, and fish consumption advice and save it to your Android device. To search for lakes you must have a network connection. Information can be saved to your device for 'off-line' access.

The DNR Section of Fisheries is the lead agency responsible for fisheries management in the State of Minnesota. The primary tool that guides fish management is the lake survey. Lake surveys consist of periodic monitoring of fish populations, water chemistry, and fish habitat.

The Minnesota Department of Health provides detailed consumption guidelines for lakes and rivers where fish have been tested for contaminants.
