The app works on a simple premise - you interact with private contacts through a secret environment that uses our well known telephony daemon to hide SMS, MMS and calls 100% of the time.

If the app "suddenly stops working" youve probably lost root access. YOU MUST FIX THIS YOURSELVES. Uninstall the app, reboot, install from Play, open, run startup wizard, restore your backup data. NEVER USE 3RD PARTY BACKUP APPS, only in app backup.
You can now remove sensitive apps from your update history by opening the Play app, choosing "MY APPS" and then finding Private Place in the "ALL" tab. Click the little cross to remove PP from your history.
