SpadesConnect is an experimental, alpha release application that allows a researcher to collect physical activity data from a phone’s internal accelerometer or certain external, wearable accelerometers connected to phone via Bluetooth.  A typical user of this application is a participant in a physical activity research study.SpadesConnect passively and continuously collects accelerometer data and streams the data each hour to the SPADES web portal for storage, visualization and analysis.  Study participants can use the app to make sure data is being collected, track hourly physical activity patterns and respond to surveys sent by the researcher.To access this application you need to register for an account on the SPADES web portal (www.spadeslab.com).  The initial screen in this app will ask for the email address and password you have established for the SPADES web portal.If you are a researcher and want to view data collected using the SpadesConnect application, please login to www.spadeslab.com.
