WordLA Connect is an attempt to enhance contacts to be interactive. The FREE mobile app works with your existing contacts, giving them a voice. Well, not actually to the contacts per s. Instead, you can state what is on your mind and get to know what39;s on your friends39; minds?This statussetting feature is just the first of many. Trust us, if we could, we would add a few more fun hours to your day. Set images, animations, or videos as your status. Hey, who says your status should be limited to plain text? Organize your contacts in groups or is it collections or collages or mosaics ... still determining the accurate name. Easify is that even a word your life is you get a new phone or phone number. Provide paidversion and businessfriendly version of the app. A few behindthescenes performance improvements such as faster databases, caching, load balancing, etc. A few app enhancements such as customization, sync with push, facebooktwitter integration, etc. And other tricks and treats.PlussesOh my goodness, another quot;socialquot; networking tool?I can almost hear that groan all the way here in Boston. Do we really need another one? I can certainly say, LA Connect is a keeper. Then again, I can be a little too close to LA Connect. So, here is my reasoning.One of the biggest concerns we have about social networking site is security. Or actually, the lack thereof. With other sites, there is no easy way to verify the authenticity of friendrequests.LA Connect, as it has the actual phone numbers of your contacts, makes sure that the folks at the other end are who they claim they are. LA Connect provides that sorely missing sense of security.One of the irritations of getting a new shiny phone is ... well, all that you have to do after getting a new shiny phone. Transferring your contacts? That39;s not fun Or worse, if you lose your phone and have to get your contacts back. Oh dear Lord Or even worse, if you ever have to change your phone number and update your contacts. Aargh, my stomach hurtsAnd, LA Connect can be your superhero rescuer. Sure, it doesn39;t have a cape nor does it wear its underwear over its tights. But, LA Connect can surely help you out here. Since, your contacts are stored in the cloud, they are automatically synced to your new phone, even if it has a new number, in a matter of just a few minutes. And, to make things even easier, LA Connect will inform your contacts about your new number and update their phone book, in under 4 steps.Note: This feature isn39;t implemented yet. And will find its place in version 2.
