Ireland’s Presidency of the Council of the European Union runs for six months from January to June 2013. To mark the occasion, the Irish staff of the Joint Research Centre (JRC) in Ispra, Italy, are organising a number of social  cultural and sporting events traditional to Ireland. This app will provide users with information about activities planned for the six month period along with an event calendar  contact details and even a quiz so you can test your knowledge of the Irish Presidency, the Joint Research Centre, famous Irish scientists and Irish culture in general. Users of this app can also learn about what the Irish do at the Joint Research Centre which has as its mission to provide customer-driven scientific and technical support for the conception, development, implementation and monitoring of European Union policies.
