COMBAR a tool to reduce student dropoutPrior to the COMBAR project, only few had been focusing on the learners barriers in vocational training With COMBAR, investigations showed that the majority of learners dropping out did so in traineeship. With this in mind, a teaching intervention has been made by constructing the COMBAR Teaching Concept CTC. The CTC is based on three pillars:The network surrounding the learnerThe joint assignmentThe Virtual Learning Environment VLEThis secure the relationship, support and communication between teacher, learner and place of training.COMBAR is a tool that can help VET educators:to empower teachers, counselors, traineeship responsibles and the learners general networkto overcome barriers of communication to improve the learning processto increase the number of learners graduating The consortium behind COMBAR are Niuernermik Ilinniarfik GL, Oqaatsinik Pikkorissarfik GL, itai as DK, Bucks New University UK, and Human Reform Alapitvany RO.
