The Yazos Snow Finder is the only app that provides the latest snow depth for thousands of monitoring locations across the U.S. and Canada. In addition, it provides information on current weather conditions from the Weather Underground for up to five specified locations. An added benefit is the inclusion of the latest 24 hour noaa forecast for snowfall accumulations of 4 inches or more (i.e., a “snowcast”). This snowcast is in the form of map overlays showing the probabilities of reaching or exceeding the 4 in snow accumulation depth.The snowcasts identify where snow is likely to accumulate,and snow depth follows the total snow depth reported on the ground currently. This information can be used to guide all sorts of snow sports  including sledding, snowshoeing, snowmobiling, and cross-country skiing.
