A simple and effective flashcard application for learning the 214 Chinese character radicals with English translation and Mandarin pinyin pronunciation. Master the radicals which are the key to being able to learn Chinese characters. Study at your own pace. The radicals are the starting point in mastery of written Chinese.
Each flashcard has three sides that can be arranged in whichever order you prefer. One side has the Chinese character. The second side is the pinyin pronunciation, and the third side is the English translation. The app also shows the other flashcards where either the pronunciation or definition is the same allowing you to see similarities between radicals.
The 214 radicals are separated into five decks, but are also in one large deck so you can go through the whole lot at once. Cards that you are having particular difficulty with can be saved to the difficult deck which will allow you to concentrate your efforts on troublesome cards.
Although the default font sizes should work for most devices, most can be adjusted from the options menu to match your device’s screen. Several different color schemes are available.
